NotchPad
Install it, then make your first note
- Open the downloaded DMG and drag NotchPad into Applications.
- Launch NotchPad from Applications.
- Hover over the notch or top center, or double-press Control.
- Write your first note, then copy something and check the Clipboard tab.
What you get for free
Free includes 20 NotchPad notes, 10 clipboard items, 5 snippets, and 5 built-in AI edits per day on supported Macs. Apple Notes access is uncapped.
Rich text, manual folders, window sticky notes, AI Connections, and the floating panel are included. Pro is $9.99 once for up to 3 Macs. It removes the free plan limits on notes, clipboard history, snippets, and built-in AI edits. No subscription.
Permissions appear when you use the feature
- Accessibility: needed to track windows for sticky-note attachments. NotchPad opens the settings pane for you when needed.
- Automation for Notes: needed if you choose to browse and edit Apple Notes.
- AI Connections: disabled until you enable them and connect an AI app.
- Microphone: voice capture happens in the separate NotchLive app and requires its permissions and Pro feature.
Before you download
The current DMG is for Apple silicon Macs. Built-in AI editing needs macOS 26 or later, Apple Intelligence enabled, and an available on-device model. Ordinary notes and clipboard features work on macOS 15 or later without AI.
